Telegram Bot for Pizza Orders with Delivery and Payment

The customer builds a cart with buttons, the bot calculates the total and delivery, takes the location and phone, accepts online or cash payment and sends the order to the kitchen. An hour and a half later it asks for a rating.

In short

The “Pizza Delivery Order Bot” template is a ready-made Telegram bot flow in Forgebot that takes orders without a phone call: the customer builds a cart with buttons, the bot adds up the total and delivery, takes the location and phone, accepts online or cash payment and sends the order to your kitchen chat. An hour and a half later it asks for a rating.

After signing up: Flows → All Templates → “Pizza Delivery Order Bot”. Free plan — no card required.

The Flow

How the Flow Works, Step by Step

  1. Menu photo and pizza choice with buttons.
  2. Size — the price comes from the bot fields.
  3. Cart: “add more” or “checkout”.
  4. Free delivery above the amount you set.
  5. Location and phone with one tap.
  6. Pay online or to the courier.
  7. An online order goes to the kitchen chat right away marked “awaiting payment”, then “✅ Paid” once paid; a courier order goes right away. The customer gets “order received”.
  8. After 1.5 hours — a rating; low ones are sent to the chat right away.
Setup

What to Adjust for Your Business

  • Rename the pizzas and set prices in the bot fields.
  • Connect a payment provider for online payments (in the bot settings).
  • Put the kitchen chat ID into the bot fields.
  • Change the pause before the rating if delivery takes longer.
  • An online order is two messages in the kitchen chat (“awaiting payment” and “✅ Paid”), and Telegram allows up to 20 messages a minute in one group chat. If you get more than 10 online orders a minute, send “✅ Paid” to a separate chat.

Recommendations

  • We recommend adjusting the pause before the rating to your real delivery time, because “how was the pizza?” before the courier arrives looks odd.
  • We recommend starting to cook an online order only after the “✅ Paid” message, because the first message reaches the kitchen before payment.

What the Template Doesn't Do

  • Online payment works once a payment provider is connected in the bot settings; without one, customers pay the courier.
  • An online order is two messages in the kitchen chat (“awaiting payment” and “✅ Paid”), and Telegram allows up to 20 messages a minute in one group chat. With more than 10 online orders a minute, it's better to send “✅ Paid” to a separate chat.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the bot calculate the order total and delivery?

The “Calculator” block adds up the pizza prices in the cart and adds delivery. If the total is at or above the threshold in Bot Fields, delivery is free. All prices are numbers in Bot Fields.

Can I accept online payments?

Yes: connect a payment provider in the bot settings, and the customer gets an invoice right in the chat. Until it's paid, the order sits in the kitchen chat marked “awaiting payment”.

What happens with a bad rating?

If the customer gives a low rating, the bot apologises, and a message with the rating, name and phone lands in the chat — so a manager can get in touch right away.
